Nora Jean (Johnson) Fite

Boyd ~ Nora Jean Fite, 75, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, February 12, 2020 in Decatur.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Boyd with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Rev. Mark Autry will officiate. Pallbearers include Tim Helton, Jason Herriage, Skyler Herriage, Jamie Lamance, Jeremy Lambert, and Michael Lasher.

Nora was born on October 19, 1944 to Merton and Ruby (Frederick)  Johnson in Fort Worth, Texas. She was united in marriage to Edwin “Buddy” Fite on April 19, 1962 in Fort Worth. She was member of the First Baptist Church of Boyd. Nora retired from the Tarrant County Probation Department.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Merton Johnson.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years Edwin “Buddy” Fite of Boyd; daughter, Rhonda Herriage and husband Don of Boyd; son, Allan Fite and wife April of Godley; 4 grandchildren, Stephanie Lambert and husband Robert, Clay Herriage and wife Holly, Jacquelyn Fite and fiancée  Chris Pearson, and Garrett Fite; 8 great-grandchildren, Hunter, Hayden, Lena, Layla, Grayson, Tinsley, Peyton, and Brantley; sister-in-law, Renee Johnson of Boyd; extended family and a host of friends.
