Nora Faye Nivens

Alvord ~ Nora Faye Nivens, 77, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, October 27, 2021 in Decatur.

Funeral is 10:30 AM Monday at First Baptist Church in Alvord with burial in Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends 3-5 PM Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Nora was born on November 26, 1943 to Bee and Nora (Hollingsworth) Flowers in Ringo, Texas. She was united in marriage to Louie Benton Nivens on March 5, 1958 in Alvord. Nora was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louie Benton Nivens; 2 grandchildren, Jamie Freeman and Kyle Nivens; 6 brothers and sisters.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her 2 sons, Ben Nivens and wife Grace of Grapevine, and Monty Nivens and wife Martha of Alvord; 2 daughters, Judy Brown and husband Terry of Alvord, and Becky Brown and husband Brad of Alvord; 7 grandchildren, Jody Freeman, Brock Nivens, Kendall Nivens, Brooke Brown, Keelan Nivens, Braydan Brown, and Brailee Brown; 4 great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Chadwick of Bowie; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
