Norma Lee (Montgomery) Coble

April 27, 1929 — February 12, 2014

Runaway Bay ~ Norma Lee Montgomery Coble, 84, a retired office manager, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in Fort Worth.

Graveside memorial service is 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2014 at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.

Rev. Bill Sparks of Mission Hospice will officiate.

Norma was born on April 27, 1929 to Virgil and Edna (Stevenson) Montgomery in Watauga, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Roy Lee “Pee Wee” Coble on May 10, 1947 in Amarillo. Norma was the office manager for the Runaway Bay Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Runaway Bay and the American Camping Association. Norma generously gave her time volunteering for several organizations including Camp Fire Girls. She was honored by the community of Runaway by having The Norma Coble Civic Center named after her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Lee “Pee Wee” Coble; her brother, Gene Sions; her sisters, Joy Brandley and Rose Hart; and her daughter-in-law, Shirley Coble.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Leighan Cupples and husband Phil of Mansfield; her sons, Lynn Roy Coble of Arlington, Dennis Coble and wife Denise of Mansfield; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; her sister, Anita Steinle of Runaway Bay; her brother, Walter Montgomery of Virginia; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
