Chico ~ Norma Kemplin, 82, a retired high school cashier for Chico ISD, went to be with our Lord Thursday, March 14, 2013 in Bridgeport.
Memorial service is 2 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Sunday before the service.
Norma was born on August 12, 1930 to Homer and Lelia (Cooper) Pilgrim in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She married Billy R. Kemplin on October 15, 1966 in Decatur. Norma was a member of the Chico City Council, Chico School District, and Paradise School District.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Kemplin in 1999; her brothers, Homer and Howard Pilgrim; and her sisters, Lula Mae Adair and Barbara Jackson.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Paul Hughes of Sunset; her daughters, Donna Osborne of Granbury, and Robin Farquhar and husband Shane of Sunset; her grandchildren, Shawn, Debra, Christopher, Dennis, Michael, Alex, Jaymee, Garrett, Skyler, Shawn, and Chance; 4 great grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
