Decatur: Norma Dee Wood, 80, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in Crowley, Texas.
Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 1st at Smithfield Cemetery with Reverend Craig Sims officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Norma was born on September 1, 1928 in Fort Worth, Texas to Rollie J. and Ora Dee (Cargill) Tallmon. She married Calvin E. Wood on July 17, 1966 in Durant, Oklahoma. She worked as a seamstress and she was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Left behind to cherish her memory are two sons, Boyd Young and wife, Paula of Alvarado, Texas and Herbert J. Stack and wife, Rosalee of Newton, Kansas; nine grandchildren, Steven, Julie, Sarah, Brad, Wendy, Justin, Johnny, Joseph and James; 25 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and aunt, Frances Houlton.
Norma is preceded in death by first husband, Verl Young, second husband, Herbert Stack, and third husband, C. E. Wood.
