Ola Earl (Peel) Taylor

Decatur ~ Ola Earl Taylor, 88, went to be with our Lord Friday, February 4, 2022 in Decatur.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel.

Brandon Blassingame is officiating. Pallbearers include: Keygan Hachtel, Jessie Gonzalez III, Marcus Gonzalez, Dustin Brassfield, Clayton Scivally and Matt Taylor.

Ola was born on July 27, 1933 to Samuel Willis and Annie Pearl (Gaston) Peel in Parker County. She was united in marriage to Manuel Lawrence Taylor. Ola was wife, mother, daughter, sister, and a nurse’s aid. She will be missed by many.

Preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Taylor; several brothers and sisters.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Dawayne Taylor and wife Rene of Decatur, Ronald Taylor of Bridgeport, David Taylor and wife Sherri of Newark; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her brother, Marvin Peel; her sister, Lois Weeks; several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of friends.
