Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial at Briar Branch Cemetery in Alvord. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will include Chad Horner, Danny Horner, Nathan Paul Horner, Nathan Scott Horner, Timothy Horner, and Delvon Campbell. Honorary Pallbearers include, Jayson Horner, Jeffrey Todd Horner, Phil Smith, Mack Smith, Mark Jones, David Jones, Ryan Ready, Stuart Glenn, and Zachary Gibson.
Oleta was born January 21, 1925 to Jack and Lela Mae (Redding) Wright in Slidell, Texas. She was united in marriage December 6, 1946 to Guy Horner, Jr. in Weatherford, Texas. Oleta graduated from Slidell High School, and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Park Springs. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lela Wright; her husband of 62 years, Guy Horner, Jr.; her 3 brothers, and 5 sisters.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Richard Horner and wife Lanora of Paradise, Mike Horner and wife Charlotte of Decatur, Nathan Lynn Horner of Alvord, Pat Horner and wife Sherry of Alvord, and Jeff Horner of Fort Stockton; her grandchildren, Chad Horner and wife Jessica, Danny Horner and wife Julie, Timothy Horner and wife Crystal, Nathan Paul Horner and wife Jill, Ashley Campbell and husband Delvon, Nathan Scott Horner, Jayson Horner, Lynnsey Horner, Nikki Ready and husband Ryan, Murphy Glenn and husband Stuart, Whitney Gibson and husband Zachary, Jeffrey Todd Horner and wife Monica, and Shae Horner; her 27 great-grandchildren; her 1 great-great-grandchild; her sister, Francis Pate of California; her sister-in-law, Jodi Wright; her brother-in-law, Travis Horner and wife Rilda; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
