Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 26th at Pleasant Grove Cemetery #1. Family will receive friends 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Rev. Mark Autry will officiate.
Orel was born on July 13, 1911 near Cottondale to Josiah Silas and Nancy Ellen (Martin) Norwood. She attended school at New Salem near Decatur. Orel married Jordan Griffith on May 21, 1955. She was a life long resident of Wise County except for several years following her marriage to Jordan. Orel worked at Swift & Co. and Armour Laboratories in Fort Worth. After she returned to Wise County in 1972, she worked at Monnig
