Decatur ~ Orus Martin Mooney II, 71, a disabled veteran, went to be with our Lord Saturday, March 12, 2016 in Decatur.

Mart was born on May 2, 1944 to H.M. and Mary Jo (Hopson) Mooney in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage to Linda K. Freeman on October 12, 1964 in Lovington, New Mexico. Mart served our country in the U.S. Army. He was 100% Combat Service Connected Disabled Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Mike Mooney and Tim Mooney; his sisters, Virginia Henry and Nell Hess.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Linda Mooney of Decatur; his son, Marty Mooney and wife Missy of Decatur; his daughter, Shanda DeWitt and husband Derek of Boerne, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Brad, Ryan, Bethany, Jadon, and Wyatt; his brother, Dudley Mooney of Weatherford; his sisters, Laura Beth Brewer of Alvord, Mary Helen Hubburd of Decatur, Dana Elliott-Williams of Greenwood, and Molly Sue Crawshaw of Arkansas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
