Decatur ~ Orvalda Bridges, 78, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Sunday, July 16, 2017 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Pleasant Grove #1 Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home Decatur.
Mike Wheat will officiate.
Orvalda was born on December 12, 1938 to Orval and Vera (Rhine) Walker in Decatur, Texas. She was united in marriage to Billy Bridges on April 27, 1968 in Decatur. Orvalda was member of Crafts Circuit and TOPS. She was on the Reunion committee and Relay for Life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Wendal Bridges and Kristi and Brooklyn Force of Decatur, her Grandson, Justin Bridges and wife Jessica of Decatur ; her sisters, Mary Ella Wilson and husband Rodney of Greenwood, Truman Whittington and husband Gary of Decatur; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
