Orville Lee Burris

Chico~ Orville Lee Burris, 65, of Chico went to be with our Lord on Sunday, September 20, 2020 in Ft. Worth.

Visitation for family to receive friends will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Orville was born on December 2, 1954 to Joe Gilbert and Velma Ethel Burris in Seminole, Texas. He was a Maintenance and Lawn care worker. Orville was united in marriage to Cynthia Cecile Crews on July 25, 2020 in Jack County. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and brother-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Orville Ray Burris; and two sisters, Pauline Moreau and Juanelle Burris.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Cindy Crews Burris of Chico; his children, Tonya Burris of McKinney, Kimberly Winburn and husband Brian of Winnsboro, Ford Brewster and wife Marica of New Orleans, Amanda Powell of Joshua, and John Cecil Burris of Ft. Worth; 8 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild;  his sisters, Carolyn Morrison of Chico and Doris Anderson of Florida; his brother, Gary Joe Burris of Coleman; his sister-in-law, Priscilla Crews of Bridgeport; numerous extended family and a host of friends.
