Orville Alford Talley, Jr.

Decatur ~ Orville Alford Talley, Jr., 88, went to be with our Lord Friday, December 16, 2022 in Decatur.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Decatur Church of Christ with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Orville was born on September 2, 1934 to Orville Alford and Ethel (Dickerson) Talley in Bonita. He was united in marriage to Grace Powell on March 18, 1955 in Nocona. Orville was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his son, Craig Talley; and 2 brothers, Ronny and Clinton Talley.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Grace Talley of Decatur; his son, Phillip Talley and wife Donna of Decatur; his grandsons, Colt Talley of Lubbock and Daniel Talley of Decatur; numerous great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Alvin Talley of Midland, Gerald Talley and wife Rita of Bonita, and Jerry Talley and wife Leta of Nocona; his sister, Catherine Nail of Fayetteville, Arkansas; other relatives and a host of friends.
