Decatur ~ Ovidio Lozano, 71, owner/operator of Lozano Trucking in Newark, went to be with our Lord Saturday, December 17, 2011 in Denton.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Boyd with burial in Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Rev. Clay Travis will officiate. Pallbearers are Andy Puckett, Eric Esquivel, Kevin Buckhalter, Jay West, Andreas Bumair, and Daniel Lopez.
Ovidio was born on March 17, 1940 to Francisco and Sipriana (Rodriguez) Lozano in Realitos, Texas. He married Francisca Lozano on April 4, 1959 in Seminole, Texas. Ovidio was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Mary Jane Lozano; and his brother, Amadeo Lozano.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Francisca Lozano of Decatur; his sons, Ovidio Lozano, Jr. and wife Lucinda of Odessa, Joe Frank Lozano and wife Angela of Decatur; his daughter, Linda Lozano and husband Noe of Newark; his grandchildren, Joe and wife Kristi of Boyd, Amanda and husband Travis of Boyd, Jessie and wife Briana of Rhome, Brenda and Crystal both of Odessa; 11 great grandchildren; his brothers, Reyes, Frank, Rudy, Victor, and Roy; his sisters, Delmira, Vera, Sylvia, and Jane; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
