Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Boyd. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Rev. Mark Autry will officiate.
Pat was born on July 15, 1936 to Henry and Ella (Blue) Bramlet in Mingus, Texas. He married Ruth Darlene York on August 9, 1958 in Graham, Texas.
Pat joined the U.S. Navy after high school where he attained the rank of Radioman 3rd class. His favorite duty assignment was time spent in Japan. After he left the Navy he went to work for American Airlines where he held several jobs over the next 42 years. His jobs included baggage handling, ticket agent, wheel shop and maintenance production control. He moved his family from Texas to Chicago, Illinois, then to Tulsa, Oklahoma and then finally back to Texas. Pat loved working for American Airlines where he created lifelong friendships.
Pat was a Southern Baptist and a member of the First Baptist Church in Boyd. During the 1980's Pat was a deacon in the church and loved working with the youth group.
Pat loved baseball. During his time in Chicago he was a pitcher on a fast-pitch softball team and continued playing until late in life. He loved the Texas Rangers and supported them through the highs and lows. He was thrilled when the Ranger's went to the World Series. His other love was technology. He loved working on the computer, scanning pictures in and organizing them. Pat spent many hours in retirement documenting his family's life.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Heart Association (1-817-698-5400) or the National Kidney Foundation (1-800-622-9010).

Dear Darlene and family of Pat Bramlet,
Our prayers are with you today and we are so sorry that we can't be there with everyone.
Ron and I are preparing to leave for the hospital so he can have his surgery this morning.
We know that if Pat were alive and well he would be at the hospital with us this morning, that is the kind of friend he was to Ron.
We will miss him and if there is anything that we can do in the coming weeks just call and let us know.
Our condolences and prayers are with you,
Ron and Reba Park
