Patrick D. Strickland

Chico~ Patrick D. Strickland, 72, went to be with our Lord Sunday, July 26, 2020 in Chico.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport.  Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. Open Visitation will be held 12-5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Bishop T.M. Bigley will officiate.

Patrick was born October 24, 1947 to Perry Dolan and Edna Pauline (Fry) Strickland in Pampa, Texas. He was a Vietnam War Veteran and proudly served our country in the United States Army. Patrick was united in marriage to Andrea Batcho on July 21, 1976 in Albany, Georgia. He was a teacher and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Decatur.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Joseph Farrington.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Andrea Strickland of Chico; his sons, Charlie Addington and wife Lori of McCloud, Oklahoma, William Addington and wife Lawanda of Oklahoma, Jonathan Strickland of Chico, and James Waters and wife Angela of Bowie; his daughters, Kimela Addington of Duncan Oklahoma, and Patricia Hargon and husband Gregory of Little Elm; 22 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Sue Crunk and Nancy Ennis both of Decatur; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
