Briar---Patsy Ann Slauson Jones, 75, a retired bookkeeper for Azle State Bank, died Tuesday, March 15, 2005, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Briar. Burial: East Bridgeport Cemetery in Bridgeport. Memorials: Texas Cancer Care, 907 Foster Lane, Weatherford, 76020. Patsy was born June 27, 1927, to Roy and Azzie Orr Magers in Alvord. She graduated from Petrolia High School as valedictorian in 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Roy Magers Jr.; and her husband, Roy E. Jones. Survivors: Daughters, Vicki Smith and husband, Don, of Royse City, Nancy Henderson and husband Dale, of Haltom City, Paula Gowins of Azle, Barbara Minsch and husband, Robert, of Arlington; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, James Blanton Magers and wife, Rama, of Electra; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
