She was born October 11, 1935 in Geary, Oklahoma and lived in the area until she married. Patsy lived in the Amarillo and Clarendon, Texas area until moving to Bridgeport in September of 1979. She was the owner operator of Pat's Trucking Company (Aggregate) of Bridgeport, Texas for the past 35 years. Patsy had been in the trucking business since 1971 and was one of the first female owner/drivers in the state of Texas.
She married Oliver N. Patterson, Jr. on July 8, 1970, and he preceded her in death in January 2003.
She is Survived by her children: Rebecca Elam and Husband Wayne of Bridgeport, TX, Susan Murray of Chico, TX, William Choate and wife Bennie of Childress, TX, Mary Washburn of Bridgeport, TX, Oliver N. Patterson (Corky) of Chico, TX, Kelly Choate and wife Kim of Bridgeport, TX, Van Choate and wife Sherry of Bridgeport, TX; 32 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; sisters, Bessie Honea and husband Andy of Wichita Falls, TX; Sister/Aunt Dorothy Houston of Enid, Ok; numerous nieces and nephews.
Patsy was preceded in Death by her husband Oliver N. Patterson, Jr.; children, Terry, Michael and Sonya Choate; father, Dorris Pointer; mother, Lucille Adams; granddaughter, Becky Washburn.
