Patsy Lynn (Chittum) Snodgrass

Boyd ~ Patsy Lynn Snodgrass, 86, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in Decatur.

Funeral is 2 PM Saturday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.  Private burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the the funeral home.

Patsy was born on January 1, 1936 to Ray and Gladys (Kilpatrick) Chittum in Abilene, Texas. She was united in marriage to James Snodgrass October 8, 1951 in Jones County Texas and remained with him until his passing in 1996. Patsy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She retired as a cafeteria worker from Decatur ISD and was a longtime volunteer at the Decatur Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Snodgrass; her daughter, Brenda; 2 brothers, Ray and Larry Chittum; and 2 sisters, Joan Tedin and Billie Yarbrough.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Dennis Snodgrass and wife Bonnie; her daughters, Diane Culpepper and husband Mark, and Tonya Lobaugh; 7 grandchildren, Paul Kelley, Derek and Jeremy Snodgrass, Justin Culpepper, Heather Culpepper McGilvray, and Jared and Brent Lobaugh; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
