Paul Anthony Wawro

Paradise ~ Paul Anthony Wawro, 80, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, March 27, 2022 in Paradise.

Memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Rev. Fred Raney will officiate.

Paul was born on February 6, 1942 to Raymond and Frances (Bialaszewski) Wawro in Dunkirk, New York. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force. Paul went on to work with Braniff, Evergreen and ATI Airlines until retirement as an airline executive. On May 5, 1962 Paul was united in marriage to Charlotte Hillger in Big Spring, Texas. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed by those that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Cynthia Cora Wawro; his brother, Richard Wawro; and sister, Dolores Wawro.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Charlotte Wawro; his son, Paul Anthony Wawro Jr; his daughters, Debra Wawro Weidanz and husband Jon, and Kathryn Shockey and husband Michael; 5 grandchildren, Matthew and Connor Shockey, and Ella, Jon, and Emily Weidanz; his sister, Valerie Pawlak; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
