Paula (Duty) Phipps

Rhome ~ Paula Duty Phipps, 56, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in Decatur.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Rev. David Lowrie will officiate. Pallbearers include Gary Hawkins, Jamie Joe Hawkins, Kaleb Phipps, Michael White, Jose Cruz, Bobby Joe Duty III and Lee Fisher.

Paula was born on December 30, 1961 to Bobby and Margie (Duke) Duty in Grand Prairie, Texas. She was united in marriage to Lonnie Phipps on December 30, 1988 in Fort Worth, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her father, and brother.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 29 years, Lonnie Phipps of Rhome; her sons, Gary Hawkins and wife Ashley of Midland, Jamie Joe Hawkins of Decatur, Kaleb Phipps of Decatur; her grandchildren, Bennett, Casen, and Logan; her mother, Margie Duty of Decatur; her brother, Joe Duty of Decatur, her sister, Patti Lee of Decatur; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
