RHOME -- Pauline Turner, 84, of Rhome went to be with our Lord Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at her home in Rhome.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Aurora Baptist Church. Interment: Aurora Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m.,Tuesday, December 22, at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Rev. Daryl Harley will officiate. Pallbearers: Mark Romines, Gary Mosley, Perry Reid, Jeremy Goodger, James Oaks and Minor Ray Hopkins. Honorary Pallbearers: Mike Hartsell, Jimmy Wilson, Wayne Burchfield, and Joe Coffee.
Memorials: charity of choice.
Pauline was born on November 23, 1925, in Rochester, Texas, the daughter of Samuel Madison and Kathren Priscilla (Jacobs) Sprueill. She married George Turner on September 20, 1946. She was a homemaker and a member of the Aurora Baptist Church.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George, her brothers, Tommy and Milton Sprueill, her sisters, Barbara Leverton and Charlene Miears.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are: her son, Sammy Turner and Penny Downing of Rhome; daughters, Mary Young of Rhome; Gayle Bowen and husband, John of Fort Worth; grandchildren; Shane Young and wife, Melissa of Decatur, Stormie Meador and husband Jeff of Decatur; great grandchildren: Sandra, Braiden, Falon, and Scotlan; brother, Roy Lee Sprueill and wife Lily of Joaquine, Texas; sister, Virgie Bruce of Indio, California; and caregiver, Junita Ransom of Boyd.
