Peggy (Lemens) Benham

Bridgeport ~ Peggy Lemens Benham, 79, a seamstress, went to be with our Lord Friday, June 24, 2016 in Wichita Falls.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Thomas Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Dylan Benham, Ellis Benham, Rusty Benham, Adam Benham, Stephen Benham, and Rob Ratliff.
Peggy was born on February 2, 1937 to Henry and Nellie (Barclay) Lemens in Rainbow, Texas. She was united in marriage to Frank Ellis Benham on December 27, 1952 in Glen Rose. Peggy was a seamstress for Sue Ann Inc.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ellis Benham; and her brothers, O.Z., Jimmie, and Don Lemens.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Craig Ellis Benham of Bridgeport, Stephen C. Benham and wife Tammie of Henrietta, and Lonny Benham and wife Rita of Bridgeport; her daughter, Treva Byrne and husband Jimmy of Iowa Park; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and a host of friends.
Memorials can be made to Bridgeport Volunteer Fire Department and Hospice House of Wichita Falls.
