Bridgeport ~ Peggy Jean Garrett Shepherd, 75, farmer and rancher, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in Bridgeport.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Boonsville Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Rev. Glenn Connell and Paul Seagraves will officiate. Pallbearers include Hunter Ross, J.T. Cox, Brian Cox, Terry Ross, Sonny Coleman, and Dwayne Garrett. Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Garrett, Kelly Garrett, Tim Garrett, Willie Garrett, Scott Cheves, Kevin Garrett, Randy Coleman and Mike Cheves.
Peggy was born on August 25, 1941 to Luther and Gertrude (Morton) Garrett in Bridgeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary Womack; her son, Gary Wayne Womack; her brothers, Carlton, Jimmy, Paul, Billy Jack, Clarence, Tommy, and Eddie Lee; her sisters, Lavina Coleman and Eileen Cheves.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kellye Ross and husband Terry of Boonsville; her granddaughter, Amanda Cox and husband Brian of Boonsville; her great grandchildren, Hunter Ross and J.T. Cox; other family members and a host of friends.
