Penelope Anne "Penny" Mackintosh-Grout

Boyd ~ Penelope Anne “Penny” Mackintosh-Grout, 69, of Boyd went to be with our Lord Thursday, July 15, 2021 in Decatur.

Funeral Service is 2 PM Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.

A reception will be held after the service at Branded Cross Cowboy Church, 3282 FM 2048, Boyd, Texas 76023

Penny was born on December 11, 1951 to Betty Graff in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. She loved animals, working in her woodshop, and the peace of the outdoors. Penny was a member at Branded Cross Cowboy Church. She was united in marriage May 17, 1986 to Greg Grout in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Penny was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Kenny Brodack.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 35 years, Greg Grout; her children, Robert Mackintosh of Ottawa, Ontario, and Jasmine Kyla-Marie Grout and her husband Manny Sotelo of Boyd; 3 grandchildren, Kyla-Marie Martinez, Lucas Sotelo, and Mason Sotelo; her sisters, Linda Graff of Canada and Sandy LaValle and husband Norman of Canada; her brother, Dennis Brodack of Canada; her nephew, Norman LaValle, Jr., and niece, Candice LaValle; other relatives and a host of friends.
