Perry Adam Johnson

Chico ~ Perry Adam Johnson, 77, a retired mail carrier, went to be with our Lord Monday, August 10, 2015 in Corinth.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Morris Memorial United Methodist Church in Chico with burial in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Rev. Mike Miller will officiate. Pallbearers include Embry Hines, Dan Stack, Kenneth Manning, Chuck Blanks, Paul Simmons, and John Barnard.

Perry was born on November 11, 1937 to A.D. and Grace (Hunter) Johnson in Chico. He was united in marriage to Patsy Beck on October 17, 1959 in Jacksboro. Perry was a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service until his retirement. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Perry was a member of Morris Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Roland and Teddy Johnson.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Patsy Johnson of Chico; his sons, Russell Johnson and wife Sheryl of Chico, Patrick Johnson and wife Golda of Bellevue; his grandchildren, Jayme Johnson, Andrea Roe, Rusty Johnson, Cody Johnson, Adam Johnson, Cortni Campbell, Heather Scherb, Aden Johnson, and Britney Crye; 13 great-grandchildren; his brother, Larry Johnson of Jacksboro; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
