Preston Eugene Lowery

Paradise~ Preston Eugene Lowery, 84, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, August 15, 2021 in Paradise.

Funeral will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Decatur Church of Christ with burial to follow in Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Corbin Young will officiate. Pallbearers are to include, Randy Williams, Donald Chapman, Curtis Rhine, David Sherman, Robert Rhine,  Joel Dickenson, Eddie Deer and Scott Sherman.

Preston was born on June 26, 1937 to Harper A. and Ola (Holman) Lowery in Ft. Worth, Texas. He was owner of Lowery Wholesale in Paradise. Preston married Cathy Ann Patterson on May 22, 1998 in Alvarado, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and the mother of his children, Loyce Lowery.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 23 years, Cathy Lowery of Paradise; his daughters, Cassandra Newman and husband Eddie of Paradise, Melonie Christian and husband Joey of Decatur, and Leisha Young and husband Ren of Paradise; his sons, Gregory Preston Lowery and wife Mirenda of Paradise, Christopher Eugene Lowery and wife Amy of Decatur, and Gary Turner and wife Aimee of Kennedale; his 19 grandchildren; his 12 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Deana Holt of Azle; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of good friends.

In Lieu of flowers if so inclined, you may make a donation to the Paradise Cemetery Association in Preston’s name.
