Bridgeport ~ Quanna Ann Price, 82, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Monday, March 5, 2012 in Decatur.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Thomas Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Rev. Gary Dimmitt will officiate. Pallbearers include Steve Simmons, David Carlton, Danny Price, Seth Simmons, David Walker, and Ken Jones.
Quanna was born on July 20, 1929 to Shepard and Myrtle (Lancaster) Simmons in Waco, Texas. She was united in marriage to J.T. "Babe" Price on December 15, 1950 in Athens, Texas. Quanna was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. "Babe" Price; her son in law, Kent Davis; her sister, Wanda Vogele; and her brother, Jimmy Simmons.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Nita Zapata and husband Richard of Nacogdoches, Debbie Curda of Denton, and Jo Davis of Bridgeport; 5 grandchildren, Jeremiah, Lauren, Ashley, Jacob, and Jonathan; 4 great grandchildren, Gage, Elizabeth, Keenan, and Wesley; her brothers, Harold Simmons and wife Dayle of Dallas and Billie John Simmons and wife Nelda of East, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
