Alvord: Rachael Ada Smith, 80, a police dispatcher, went to be with our Lord Friday, January 7, 2011 in Alvord.
Memorial service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 11th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Autry officiating. Honorary pallbearers include active and retired Law Enforcement officers.
Rachael was born October 12, 1930 Ward and Gladys (Pelsor) Roush. She married Floyd Herbert Smith in 1950 in San Diego, California. Rachael worked with Wise County and the Decatur Police Department as a dispatcher.
Left behind to cherish her memory are four sons, Floyd Allen and Lyle Warde Smith both of Alvord, David Eugene Smith of Decatur, Mike Range of Decatur; two brothers, James Roush of Chula Vista, California, Hiram Roush of Bonita, California; and seven grandchildren and great grandchildren.
