BOYD -- Rachel "Rae" Harrison, 73, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Christian-Hawkins Chapel Burial: Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Rev. Tom McClintock will officiate. Pallbearers: Steven Scott, Steve Smiley, Anthony Davis, Dean Knipper, Sergio Bacile, and Jerry Bracken. Honorary pallbearer, Wayne Green.
Rae was born on August 22, 1935 in Van, Texas, the daughter of Robert Hilton and Enda Marie (Moor) Stokes. She was the former owner of an upholstery/antique shop in Boyd. Rae married Clarence J. Harrison, Jr. on February 11, 1973 in Tyler, Texas. She was a member of the Pear Creek Baptist Church in Lindale, Texas.
Rae was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are: son James Scott of Boyd; the daughter-in-law that she considered a daughter, Lila Scott of Boyd; granddaughter, Sofia Scott of Boyd; sisters, Annie Beatrice Taylor of Chandler, Martha Morrill of Tyler,Dovie Green of Lindale, brother, Robert Stokes, Jr. of Flint; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
