Ralph Bryan Carter

Chico ~ Ralph Bryan Carter, 82, a retired Army veteran and oil field worker, went to be with our Lord Sunday, November 29, 2015 in Chico.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Rev. Gary Sessions will officiate. Pallbearers include Military Honor Guard, Captain Leslie Hardin, Priscilla Hardin, Chief Danny Price, and Assistant Chief Gabriel Timmons.

Ralph was born on July 25, 1933 to Fred and Katie (Karnes) Carter in Corryton, Tennessee. He was united in marriage to Ann Prause on December 29, 1953 in Hammelburg, Germany. Ralph proudly served his country and retired from the United States Army. Ralph worked for Breeze Hot Oil Services until he retired.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 60 years, Ann Carter; his son, Michael Carter; his daughter Linda Blanks; his brothers, Dale Carter and Fred Carter.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Wendy Denney and husband Jeff of Midland, Joyce O’Dell and husband Wayland of Balsora; his grandchildren, Kelcey, Jeremy, Jerod, Haley, and Leland; his great grandchild, Jakob Alton Warner; his brothers, Lynn Carter and wife Mattie of Knoxville, Tennessee, Everett Carter of Montrose, Michigan; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
