Ramon Draper

Graveside service is 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Pastor Charles Williams will officiate. Pallbearers include Josh Dodd, Brandon Draper, Kyle Draper, Monica Draper, Kara Draper and J.R. Fitzgerald.

Ramon was born on August 10, 1933 to George and Bertha (Cook) Draper in Bennington, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Iva Joyce Miller on June 15, 1957 in Blue, Oklahoma. Raymon was a retired supervisor with AMPI (Associated Milk Producers, Inc.) and a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was also a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Decatur.

Raymon is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Karen Draper; his brother, Herman Draper and his nephew, Dwayne Draper.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Iva Miller Draper of Boyd; his daughter, Sharon Faye Dodd and husband Danny of Boyd; his son, Michael Ray Draper and wife Nicole of Haslet; his grandchildren, Michelle, Joshua, Brandon, Kyle, Monica, Kara, Colton and Ava; his great grandchildren, Landon, Talon, Emma and Karen; his step grandchildren, Emily, Nicholas, Brody and Miranda; his brothers, James Draper of Grapevine, Leland Draper and wife Janette of Tulsa, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
