Decatur~ Ramon Fraga Gomez, 73, went to be with our Lord Monday, January 30, 2017 in Decatur.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pastor Carlos Cardenas will officiate. Pallbearers include Ramon Armando Gomez, Sergio Gomez, Jorge Gomez, Ruben Bernal, Norberto Aguilar, Rodolfo Resendiz, Juan Perez and Enrique Gomez.
Ramon was born on November 1, 1943 to Manuel and Maria (Fraga) Gomez in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico. He was united in marriage to Alicia Martinez on November 7, 1965 in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico. Ramon was a retired Dairy Farmer and Laborer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Maria Orvanita.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Alicia Gomez of Decatur; his sons, Ramon Armando Gomez of Krum, Sergio Gomez and wife Irene of Decatur, Jorge Gomez and wife Danielle of Decatur; his daughters, Sonia Bernal and husband Ruben of Decatur, Laura Gomez and Rodolfo of Decatur, Maira Aguilar and husband Norerto of Decatur, Olga Perez and husband Juan of Decatur; numerous grandchildren; his brothers, Enrique, Mario, and Jaime Gomez; his sisters Mary Lou Gomez, Maria Gomez; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
