SUNSET ~ Ramona Miller, 86, retired owner and operator of the Charcoal Grill restaurant in Haltom City, went to be with our Lord Saturday, May 29 in Sulphur Springs.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Graveside: 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bluebonnet Hills in Colleyville. Visitation: 6-8 p.m Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
The Reverend Mark Autry to officiate. Pallbearers: Craig Johnson, Chris Miller, Chadd Rivera, Judge Clay Poynor, Rowdy France, Cody France, Willy Hacke, Ron Offner and Lee Hoen.
Ramona was born March 19, 1924 to Samuel Clinton and Lilly May (McCasland) Kelly in Ranger, Texas. She married Curtis Miller May 24, 1946 in DeLeon, he preceded her in death along with 3 brothers, Samuel Clinton Kelly, Ruel Kelly and Larry Kelly and 2 sisters, Juanita Kelly and Willoughby Bassett.
Ramona was member of Victory Baptist Church in Park Springs, the Alpha Mu Sorority and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Bowie. She was also the current president of Senior Citizen Center in Bowie.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Carol France and husband Garry of Sulphur Springs; her son, Curtis Miller and wife Ruthi of Bedford; her grandchildren, Chris Miller of Albuquerque, NM, Erin Miller of Kansas City, MO, Judge Terri Johnson and husband Craig of Decatur; her great grandchildren, Coy and Harlon Johnson of Decatur; Sisters in law, Billie Powell of Hobbs, NM, Louise Turner of California; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
