Raudel Perez, 72, passed from this Earth Wednesday, August 14th, 2024.

Funeral will be Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pastor Filemón will officiate. Pallbearers will include Jose Antonio Perez, Eric Perez, Aurelio Zuñiga Perez, Jose Carlos Zuñiga Perez, Pierre Perez, and Silvestre Hernandez Jr. Honorary pallbearers: Abelardo Rodriguez and Guillermo Deleon.

Raudel was born October 14, 1951 to Jose and Antonia Perez in Palmas Altas, Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico. He was united in marriage to his loving wife, Maria, on February 14, 1975. Together, they had 4 children. Raudel started his life in the US as a farm worker for the Weber Dairy Farm in Greenwood, Texas. He retired from Imperial Fabricating in November of 2020 after 32 years of service. He was a devout Christian and loved the Lord. He enjoyed attending his church and his multiple bible study groups. He was a loving grandfather to 9 grandchildren and a wonderful great-grandfather to 2 great grandchildren. He enjoyed taking Eliana and Isabella to McDonald’s during the summers as long as grandma paid for it. He was the oldest of his siblings.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Maria Perez of Decatur, his sons Raul Perez and wife Gabriella of Farmers Branch, Francisco Perez, his daughters Silvia Perez and fiancee Cruz Rodriguez and Paty Perez all of Decatur. His grandchildren McKalyn, Kadence, Jasmine, Elvia, Abigail, Isabella, Eddie, Ethan, and Eliana who love him and will miss him dearly, along with his extended family and a host of friends.

Su funeral será el miércoles 21 de agosto 2024 a las 10:00am en la funeraria Hawkins en Decatur seguido por el sepelio en el panteón Oaklawn. La familia recibirá visitas de 6:00-8:00 pm el martes 20 de agosto en la funeraria.

Raudel nació el 14 de octubre de 1951 en Palmas Altas, Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico. Sus padres fueron Jose y Antonia Perez. Se unió en matrimonio con su amada esposa, Maria, el 14 de febrero de 1975. Juntos tuvieron 4 hijos. Raudel comenzó su vida en los Estados Unidos como trabajador agrícola en la Granja Lechera Weber en Greenwood, Texas. Se retiró de Imperial Fabricating en noviembre de 2020 después de 32 años de servicio. Era un cristiano devoto y amaba al Señor. Le encantaba ir a su iglesia y a sus múltiples grupos de estudio bíblico. Fue un cariñoso abuelo de 9 nietos y un maravilloso bisabuelo de 2 bisnietos. Le gustaba llevar a Eliana e Isabella al McDonald's durante los veranos, siempre y cuando la abuela pagará. Era el mayor de sus hermanos.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres.

Quienes quedan para apreciar su memoria son su esposa de 50 años, María Pérez de Decatur, sus hijos Raúl Pérez y su esposa Gabriella de Farmers Branch, Francisco Pérez, sus hijas Silvia Pérez y su prometido Cruz Rodríguez y Paty Pérez, todos de Decatur. Sus nietos y nietas McKalyn, Kadence, Jasmine, Elvia, Abigail, Isabella, Eddie, Ethan y Eliana, quienes lo aman y lo extrañaran muchísimo, junto con su extensa familia y una gran cantidad de amigos.
