Funeral is 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 17th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ken May and Doug Vaughn officiating. Interment: Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Austin Gann, Kyle Curry, Jacky Carter, Jeff Curry, Mitch Arrington, and Ron Mosley.
Raymond was born on September 15, 1930 in Ivan, Texas to Smith Monroe and Zelma Mae (Martin) Gann. He was united in marriage to JoAnn Quisenberry on April 3, 1954 in Fort Worth, Texas. Raymond retired of Wise Electric Coop as a line superintendent in 1990 after 35 years of service. He was a member of Bell Baptist Church for 50 years before joining the First Baptist Church of Decatur. Raymond served in the U. S. Army.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, JoAnn Gann of Decatur; son, Joel Gann and wife Cathy of Tomball, Texas; daughter, Amy Curry and husband Jeff of Coppell; two brothers, James M. Gann of Everett, Washington and Floyd Gann of Donna, Texas; sister, Ruby Joyce Smith of Lakeside, Texas; four grandchildren, Kyle Curry, Austin, Allyson and Tyler Gann; other family members and a host of friends.
Raymond was preceded in death by his two sisters, Anna and Rosa Mae Gann and two brothers, Vernon and David Gann.
