SAGINAW -- Raymond "Bill" Lawler, 68, a retired concrete supervisor for James Lawler Concrete, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at his home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Blue Mound. Interment: Boyd Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Rev. Don Shotwell will officiate.Pallbearers: Richard Lawler, Jacob Lawler, Justin Lawler, Austen Lawler, Payton Traylor, Cody and Adam Wilson. Honorary Pallbearer: Paul Lawler. Music performed by Bob, Kay and Emily Worley.
Bill was born on December 7, 1940, in San Angelo, Texas, the son of Lester and Willie (Stewart) Lawler. He married Joyce Kay Lohse on December 16, 1961 in San Angelo. Bill served his country in the U.S. Army.He was a member of the Foreign Legion and the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Blue Mound. Bill lived in Aurora for 22 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Sally Lawler.
Those left behind to cherish his memory: Wife of 47 years, Joyce Lawler of Saginaw. Daughter, Dora Cook and husband, Jeff of Saginaw
Sons: Ray Lawler and wife Gina of Sunset, Lester Lawler and wife Kay of Euless, Jeff Lawler and wife, Jan of Arlington, Grandchildren: Kayci, Ashley, Richard, Emma, Justin, Payton, Marina, Austen and Kyndra; Great-grandchild, Logan; Brothers, Virgil Van Huss, James Lawler Sr. and Tom Lawler. Numerous other family members and a host of friends.
