Raymond William Mckeever

Paradise ~ Raymond William McKeever, 78, a retired general foreman for Lockheed Martin, went to be with our Lord Friday, February 17, 2017, in Decatur.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Thomas Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Rev. Dale Webster will officiate.

Raymond was born on September 10, 1938 to Elmer and Evelena (Boner) McKeever in Decatur, Texas. He graduated from Chico High School in 1957. Raymond was united in marriage to Reba Martin on January 8, 1960 in Bridgeport. He retired from Lockheed Martin formerly General Dynamics in 1998 after 33 years as a machine shop general foreman. Raymond was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Bridgeport. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, lovingly called "Pop" by his granddaughters. He loved traveling and camping. Colorado was his favorite camping destination.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Evelena McKeever;  his brother, Lee Roy McKeever; and his son, Dennis McKeever.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Reba McKeever of Paradise; his daughter Connie McKeever Johnson of Argyle; his granddaughters, Mackenzie and Meagan Johnson of Argyle; his brother, Jerry McKeever and wife Mary of Chico; his sister-in-law, Jean McKeever of Chico; other family members and a host of friends.
