Rena Lois Price, 91, of Mount Vernon, formerly of Chico, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

Rena was born on February 6, 1933 to Ed and Bessie (Stout) Carlisle at her family farm in Wise County. She was united in marriage to Benny Earl Price on January 5, 1952 in Decatur, they were together for 60 beautiful years before his passing in 2012. Rena had numerous hobbies that she enjoyed which included: quilting, crocheting, canning, camping and gardening. She was a beloved mother, grandmother of 3 generations, sister, aunt, cousin, and a friend to many that will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Benny Price; and her brother, Edwin Carlisle.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Carolyn Weiss and husband Keith of Plano, David Price of Mount Vernon, Donna Lemond and husband Mike of Yantis, and Kimberley Schulze and husband ED of Mount Vernon; her grandchildren, Angela English, Jenny Miller, Jason Lemond, Douglas Weiss, and Paul Lemond; 11 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; her twin sister, Reba Epps of Chico; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Graveside Service is 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 3rd, at Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Pallbearers are David Price, Jason Lemond, Douglas Weiss, Paul Lemond, Zach Lemond, and Jack McCoy. Honorary Pallbearers include Keith Weiss, Mike Lemond, and Ed Schulze.
