Aspermont: Renato Gomez, 27, formerly of Decatur, went to be with our Lord, Wednesday, February 22, 2012 in Aspermont, Texas.
Funeral service is 1 p.m. Friday, February 24th at Slidell Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Cates officiating. Interment: Slidell Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Carlos Gonzalez, Juan Pablo Gomez, Omar Gomez, Armondo Gonzalez, Robert Gonzalez, Jessie Gonzalez, and Antonio Gonzalez.
Renato was born February 2, 1985 in Decatur, Texas to Juan and Maria Del Carmen (Calzada) Gomez.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his parents, Juan Gomez and wife Carmen; two sisters, Veronica Gonzalez and husband Carlos, Griselda Gomez all of Slidell; two brothers, Juan Pablo Gomez and wife Renee of Aspermont, Omar Gomez of Slidell; grandmother, Maria Varela of Durango, Mexico; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
