Chico ~ Renee Downey Bennett, 63, a retired salesperson, went to be with our Lord Saturday, July 7, 2012 in Chico.
Memorial service is 2 p.m. Friday, July 13th at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Rev. Larry Whitaker will officiate.
Renee was born on May 21, 1949 to Harold "Jack" and Oletha (Hardman) Downey in Piqua, Ohio. She was united in marriage to Billy Eugene Bennett on May 7, 1991 in Decatur. She worked for Walmart before she retired. Renee's passion for her family was always a priority in her life. She fought an extended battle with cancer but never lost the spark in her eyes or the smile on her face.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James "Jim" Downey.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 21 years, Billy Bennett of Chico; her daughter, Christine Neagle and husband Michael of Chico; her son, Rodney Hall and wife Victoria of Chico; her stepdaughter, Audra Bennett of Weatherford; 8 grandchildren, Tyler who is expecting Renee
