Rennetta (Rena) Garrett

Rhome ~ Rennetta “Rena” Garrett, 60, went to be with our Lord Thursday, December 9, 2021 in Ft. Worth.

Memorial is 4 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.  Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.

Pastor Doug Rife will officiate.

Rena was born July 31, 1961 to Edward E. and Millie Marie (Gifford) Bailey in Ft. Worth. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Marlin R. Garrett on April 11, 1981 and were together until his passing November 17, 2011. Rena graduated from Boswell High School and went on to work as an NISD Lead Campus Assistant. She was a mother, step-mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.  And in her free time Rena also enjoyed quilting, scrapbooking, and creating memories with her granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 30 years, Marlin Garrett; and her brother, Edwin Bailey.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are 2 daughters, Brandi Ingram and husband Aaron of Ft. Worth and Malinda Garrett of Rhome; her step-son, James Ray Garrett of Dallas; her granddaughter, Kaitlyn Ingram; her sister, Marlene Rachuig and husband David of Ft. Worth; her brother, Eddie Bailey and wife Kim of Arlington; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
