NEWARK -- Billy Gene Shipp, 46, an Associate Pastor, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 in Newark at home.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Abundant Life Worship Center in Newark.Rev. James Hurst officiating. Pallbearers: Clint Shipp ,Brent Shipp ,Bradley Shipp, James Hurst 3rd.,James Hurst 4th.,Rodney Hurst.Buddy Harris, Chris Hobbs,Dustin Webb. Burial: Aurora Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Abundant Life Worship Center in Newark.
He was born the son of Barbara (Simpson) Shipp on January 20,1963 in Decatur,Tex. He married Shelley Renee Hurst on June 25,1982 in Alvord,Texas. Billy was a member of the Abundant Life Worship Center in Newark.
Those left behind to cherish his memory: wife of 27 years Shelley of Newark. Sons: Clint, Brent, and Bradley Shipp all of Newark. 5 Grandchildren: Keely, Brysen, Cameron, Brailey, Braiden.
Mother: Barbara Shipp of Sunset Brother: Monty Shipp and wife Karrie of Aubrey, Sister: Raynae and husband Cliff Spain of Decatur. Father-in law and mother-in-law,Rev.James and Mildred Hurst of Newark. Numerous other family members and a host of friends.
