Revena Kay (Raper) Brooks

Chico~ Revena Kay (Raper) Brooks, 79, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, September 19, 2020 in Bridgeport.

Graveside will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Rev. Fred Raney will officate.

Revena Kay Brooks was born on October 13, 1940 to Donald Lloyd and Minerva Jane (Culver) Raper in Paradise, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Crafton Baptist Church. Revena was united in marriage to Everett “Snuffy” Brooks on July 3, 2003 in Alvord. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Tonya Pippen; and her brother, Tom Raper.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 17 years, Everett Brooks of Chico; her sons, Todd Cooper of Cloud Croft, New Mexico and Cedie Pippin; 5 grandchildren; her brother, Terry Raper of Louisiana; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
