Rhonda K (Thorn) Leatherwood

Cottondale ~ Rhonda Kay Leatherwood, 65, went to be with our Lord Thursday, March 28, 2019, in Cozumel, Mexico.

Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Rhonda was born on November 30, 1953, to Roy Elbert Sr. and Hazel Ruth (Jones) Thorn in Seymour, Texas. She was united in marriage to Mark Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Roy “Rusty” Thorn, Jr.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Mark Johnson of Cottondale; her daughter, Melissa Dowell and Justin Lancaster of Cottondale; her sons, Aaron Leatherwood and Saundra Sampson of Cottondale, Phillip Urango and wife Shelley of Cottondale, and Mark Urango of Cottondale; her grandchildren, Caitlyn, Gracelyn, Mark Justin, Elijah, and Ariana; her sisters, Rhenda Ragan and husband Earnest of Rotan, Robbie Hummer and husband Kelly of Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia, Ranee Schwandt of Halltown, West Virginia, and Reggie Van Orsow of Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia; her brothers, Randy Thorn and wife Kendra of Jacksboro, Jimmy Parker of Cottondale, and Danny Parker and wife Michelle of Olney; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
