Funeral Service is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29th, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport.
Paul Cantrell will officiate.
Richard was born on March 27, 1966 to Richard Henery Green and Jennie Lee (Wigger) Thomas in Bowie. He was united in marriage to Karen Joyce Hall on April 20, 1991 in Decatur. Richard worked as a welder at Smith Oilfield and Crisp Industries for many years. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, son, grandfather, and a friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jennie Lee Thomas; and his mother-in-law, Martha Hall.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Karen Green of Bridgeport; his son, Logan Green and Wife D.J.; his grandsons, Camden and Carson Green; his sisters, Shelly Smith and husband Roger, Carma Chastain, and Misty Moore and husband Brent; his brothers, Mikey Thomas, and Cody Green; his father, Richard Green; his father-in-law, Perry Hall; numerous extended family members and a host of good friends.
