Decatur: Richard Lynn Harvey, 60, went to be with our Lord, Saturday, October 26, 2013 in Corinth, Texas.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 30th at First Baptist Church of Decatur with Rev. Ken May, Stephen Wren, Kyle Story and Glen Vrba. Interment: Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church.
Pallbearers include Kyle Story, Glen Vrba, Francisco Escobar, Chris Jones, Chris Carter, Jack Reeves. Honorary pallbearers include Ray Mosley, Juan Aldape, Gary Skaggs, Phil Reicheneker, Matt Reicheneker and David Reicheneker.
Richard was born July 25, 1953 in Salem, Oregon to J.B. and Dorothy Arlene (Gibson) Harvey. He was united in marriage to Jean Marie (Jordan) on September 5, 1970 in Seymour, Texas. Richard was Director of Decatur ISD's Athletic Field Maintenance for 15 years.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Jean Harvey of Decatur; son, Tracy Harvey and wife Ami of Sunset; daughter, Mistie Splawn and husband Gary of Boyd; seven grandchildren; two sisters; and a host of friends.
