Rickard Philmore Anderson, 79, a retired farmer and bus driver, went to be with our Lord Sunday, May 3, 2009 in Denton.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 6th at the First Baptist Church of Slidell, Texas with Pastor Bobby Cates officiating.
Pallbearers are Blake Fortenberry, Leslie Fortenberry, Tutor Pruett, Roydney Yard, Marvin Smith, John North, J.W. Irick, Chris Waskan.
Rickard was born March 20, 1930 in Cooke County, Texas to Arther and Annalee (Durham) Anderson. He married Martha Montalvo on June 28, 1983 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Herman, Erroll and Lorn Anderson; two sisters, Wanda Hachtel and Barbara Heastande.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 25 years, Martha Anderson of Slidell; two sons, George Anderson and wife, Paula of Roanoke, Kenneth Anderson of Denton; daughter, LeeAnna Anderson of Gainesville; special family member, Ernie Gonzales of El Paso, Texas; granddaughter, Kimberland Anderson of Gainesville; three nieces, Joan Johnson, Kay Riley, Martha McCasland; nephew, Dan Hachtel; and a host of friends and family.
