Sunset ~ Robert Walter Bull, 86, went to be with our Lord Sunday, December 3, 2017 in Decatur.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Alvord with burial in Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Robert was born on September 14, 1931 to Robert Wesley and Melinda (Thuler) Bull in Saint Jo, Texas. He was united in marriage to Virginia Shannon on March 1, 1950 in Matador, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alvord where he also served as a deacon. Robert was a retired truck driver and farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wesley Bull; a sister, Carolina Doran; and a grandson, Bobby Bull.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Virginia Bull of Sunset; 3 sons, Michael Bull and wife Vickie of Alvord, Robert Lee Bull and wife Janice of Bowie, and Joe David Bull and wife Cathy of Amarillo; 7 grandchildren, Walter, Chris, Christeena, Mindy, Shane, Maddison, and Morgan; 21 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Leroy Bull and wife Peggy of Amarillo; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
