Newark ~ Robert Charles Harris, Sr. 68, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, July 13, 2021.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pastor Allen Six will officate.

Robert was born September 20, 1952 to Charles Edward and Mary Lorraine (Fouts) Harris in El Dorado, Kansas. He was united in marriage May 4, 1984 to Vickie Sharmaine Elliott in Newark, Texas. He was a service writer for Cummin Southern Plains for many years. Robert was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Harris; and his son, Michael Harris.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 37 years, Vickie Harris of Newark; his daughters, Pamela Harris of Newark, and Rachel Graves and husband Richard of Marshall; his 2 sons, Robert Harris, Jr. and wife Rhonda of Arkansas, and Colby Harris of Newark; 3 grandchildren, Christian Harris, Ryleigh and Ranger Graves; his brother, Larry Lain; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
