Robert Charles Heard

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel with burial in Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Rev. Todd Blair will officiate. Pallbearers are Alvin Dethloff, Mark Biggerstaff, Carrol Woods, David Uselton, Pancho Redwine, and Juan Lara. Honorary Pallbearer is Joe Gilliland.
Robert was born on December 11, 1946 to Arnold and Shirley (Burdick) Heard in Athens, Texas. He married Lydia Roseanna Lack on March 3, 1997 in Mineral Wells. Robert served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for TXI as a heavy equipment operator.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Johnny Heard.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Roseanna Heard of Boyd; his children, A.J. Heard of Boyd, Logan Heard of Boyd, Keaton Scruggs of Boyd, Megan Scruggs of Boyd, Andrew Scruggs of Bridgeport, Cheryl Gordon of Arlington, Robert Heard of Round Rock, and Stephanie Heard of Bridgeport; 6 grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
